I feel like a push-over, and I feel very unappreciated, especially so tonight, for all the sacrifices I have made thus far.

11:28 pm - CALEB TAN :))
We've started a new phase of our lives, though still can't quite comprehend the fact that we are someone else's daddy and mommy.
Our little dearest one, Caleb, arrived on 29th November, 3.365kg and 53cm via an emergency caesarian operation after a 36 hours long labour. We'll be 'confined' till 30th December so Christmas and my birthday will be spent at home. Daddy, we want presents! :))

03:08 pm - WEEK 35 DAY 5
I'm officially in my 9th month of pregnancy, and counting down to just 31 days from my EDD. :))
So far, aside from the detailed scan we did in my 20th week, we haven't been able to confirm the size of our baby. Estimated size of the baby should be approximately 2.5kg. Little stretch marks are evident on both sides of my tummy and underneath my breasts now and the creams don't seem to help much. For the baby, he has changed his sleeping patterns and has converted to a night baby. He wakes up when I'm going to bed and has series of hiccups throughout the day. A little weird getting little spasms in my tummy all day long but it apparently is a good sign of development.
We did our preggy photoshoot with the Studio Loft in my 34th week and to me, it was a day of liberation. The husband had to convince me on the semi-nude shots (daddys are not allowed for the nude shots) but the pictures turned out fine thankfully. Honestly, it sure felt weird having to bare a naked body infront of the photographer.
And to date, we have installed the car seat, half packed the hospital bag, made arrangements for a new maid and am getting panicky, realizing there are much more to do. I went on a washing craze one day and washed/ironed all the baby's clothes, towels and hankies. Next up, the bedding sheets, pillows and bolsters. And, we haven't fixed the changing station, the stroller, the cot and most importantly, I haven't planned my maternity leave. Oh no. Current Mood: nervous

07:47 pm - 30 WEEKS & COUNTING
I've started on my third trimester. 10 more weeks to EDD, and so far it has been okay, except that I have to monitor my sugar intake and was recently diagnosed with a slight low blood count. Occasional giddy spells aside, my pregnancy has been good. Thank God for the world best husband who looks after and attends to all my needs. :) More than a month since we're back, rushed to cast our votes from the airport at the very last minute on polling day and have been keeping ourselves busy with prenatal classes. The cot, stroller and car seat have arrived, insurance and cordblood banking settled, baby drawer packed and next is to dress up the nursery. A few more items to get and I think we'll be all set to welcome our little boy. I think I've eaten the most beef and salmon in the past 8 months of my life. Please bring me out for more dinner treats at Gyu Kaku, dear! PS: Our dearest now weighs approximately 1.5kg and 40cm long. He responses to music and sometimes to light and wakes up at intervals throughout the day and night. He got woken up by the alarm clock last week and particularly likes bed time stories and baby plus time. Sleeps have been disruptive with my frequent toilet trips and backaches. Water retention, constipation and heartburn has been mild and am thankful. No increase in shoe size so yay! My rings get tighter by day but so far it still fits. I can eat everything and anything I like except steamed fish. So dear baby, please continue to be good in mommy's tummy! Current Mood: hopeful

10:53 am - SWEETEST 3RD BIRTHDAY
Happy Birthday, Shylee! :)
Yesterday's shopping at SOGO & Shin Kong Mitsukoshi was good. Burberry for him, Chanel for me and the rest are for the baby. We couldn't convince ourselves to get the little one a Burberry shirt and RL polo tee as yet, maybe next time.
We ended our night with Japanese fine dining at Sumie (another hefty bill but not satisfying) and then live music from very cool singers at EZ5.
OH, we had the nicest afternoon tea break at "Afternoon Tea", definitely a must try!
2 more days before we return, later!

09:00 pm - TAIWAN
Our french class ended last Saturday and I can now give a short speech of Mon Petit Lapin (My Little Rabbit) and of course, to say that I love shopping at the Chanel boutique. :)
C'est La Vie! We flew ourselves to Taipei on Saturday night and it will be a week doing absoulutely nothing but eat, rest and relax. Ultimate VIP treatment over here at Le Meridien, with Taipei 101 view, complimentary around the clock Butler service, shoe shine service, complimentary drinks from the mini bar and access to their executive lounge! Now, what can we get the butler to do for us?
4 more days before we return and just in time for the election. So far, it's shopping for the husband and the baby. Mini shopping spree at Ralph Lauren today with an extremely friendly salesman. And for myself, Chanel/Hermes/Bottega/Miu Miu are just 2 minutes away, so we'll see!

01:01 am - LIFE LESSONS
Condolences to ER YI and family. The uncle passed away peacefully on Monday. It was 1.5 years ago when I last met him at my wedding and till the last time I saw him at the hospital last Saturday, it was a painful sight.
AND....
Goodness gracious, here she goes again, I hate false accusations. Through it all, it makes me appreciate my mother much much more. Thank God for world best mommy! :) On a different note, Stephen and I are expecting a baby boy in mid December. It has been a good 4.5 months so far. We're very thankful for very mild pregnancy symptons. Morning sickness lasted only for 2 weeks. Occasional backaches aside, it has been a breeze for me. I'm now experiencing flutterings in my tummy and visits to the gynae are what we look forward to. It tickles me alot to see how nervous the husband behaves looking at the little baby via the ultrasound. Everyone predicted the baby's gender with 100% accuracy, although I secretly hoped for a girl. Shopping for the little one has started and many more big purchases to make before the sale ends. I must say, shopping for little girls are much more interesting. So far, it has been bibs, hats, rompers, tshirts, shirts, pants, shorts, ah so boring.
We started our french class today! Je parle le français aussi!
Mahjong sessions continue with much baby luck. :)) Current Mood: blah
